?????????? The BEST Driving Instructor – Thank You, Reg! I just passed my driving test and I couldn’t have done it without Reg! He is genuinely the most patient, calm and knowledgeable instructor I’ve ever met. From day one, he made me feel confident on the road, explained everything so clearly, and corrected my mistakes without ever making me feel stressed. Reg’s teaching style is unmatched — he focuses on real understanding, not just “test tricks”, and he always knows exactly what the testing officers look for. Every lesson felt productive, encouraging and tailored to exactly what I needed. Thanks to Reg, I went into my test feeling fully prepared, and I passed! I’m so grateful for his support, professionalism and positivity. If you’re looking for an instructor who truly cares and will get you road-ready with confidence, Reg is the one. Highly, highly recommend!

Would recommend his service to anyone looking to take driving lessons :) Thanks Reg!

I highly recommend Reg from On Road as I have had over 10 lessons with him which have taught me important road rules, maneuvers, and tips to be a better and safe driver. He had assisted me in preparation for my p’s test where we went over the multiple test routes for 2 days which allowed me to pass on my first try. Reg has taught me to be alert, assertive and safe when driving and I wouldn’t have done so well without his guidance. Thank you Reg for everything!

Kate

As a mature age driver (43) who’s had their Learners for decades but never had enough practice to pass the test, it was great to find Reg Lazarus. I have had a few other instructors over the years but those experiences weren’t the best. After my first lesson with Reg, he made an assessment of my ability and proposed 5 x 2 hour lessons with a clear plan toward getting my P’s. What was great about Reg’s plan is that he wasn’t just focussed on passing the test, but rather he made sure the lessons would cover a full range of skills required and driving conditions all around Sydney. Being so inexperienced, this was invaluable and aside from passing my test first attempt, gave me more confidence in any future driving I would inevitably end up doing. I will also Reg is a great guy, very friendly and easygoing, but always attentive and focused on the task at hand. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough, thanks Reg, you’re a LEDGE!! Best, Kate

Maryna

Before I met Reg I had had 3 failed attempts at Chatswood Service Centre. I'm 27 yo who came from an Eastern European country and shifting to a different side of the road and position of the steering wheel was very hard for me. I was only available for driving lessons early in the morning and Reg was also available so I chose him. One of the smartest decisions in my life :) The result - I got my driving license in Chatswood. I’m so proud of myself and big thank you to Reg!

Isabelle

Reg Lazarus was the best driving instructor ever. He was patient and informative and helped me become a safe driver and pass my P’s test first try! Loved spending time with him during driving lessons!!!

Emma

I am writing this review in the hope that other mature age students who may have failed their driving test 5+ times like me have the fortitude to keep trying. I came to Reg after the last failure and 4 other instructors in the hope that he may be able to assist me after having 70 hours of training. Reg stated to me that my training was like a jigsaw puzzle that hadn't been put properly and hadn't gelled or joined together. Reg set about giving a nervous learner confidence and teaching me how to read the traffic and body language of cars and make safe decisions. He taught me to be decisive, assertive (not aggressive), stop hesitating and be incisive. Needless to say I passed on my last attempt. Thank you Reg for your patience and understanding!

Patrick

Mr Lazarus was approachable and accommodating. My son did the Driving Test Preparation Lesson, and if it was not for Reg he would not have passed his test. Reg took him through the course and identified all the areas that needed attention. Passed first time. Thanks again.

Charlotte

Reg the leg-end! I started in an automatic but was determined to get my P's on the manual car. Reg was so kind and patient making sure I was learning the basics and transferring my automatic skills into the manual. An awesome instructor and I would recommend to any manual newbie.

Emma

Being a mature age student of 35, I had worked up a lot of anxiety about driving over the years; booking with Reg Lazarus was the best decision I made towards finally obtaining my license - with his patient, kind and knowledgeable style of teaching, he was able to coax me out of my shell and instil confidence in me so that I was able to complete the manoeuvres on the road that I never thought I would be able to do. A really great learning experience and I will actually miss our chats, too; now that I have passed my driver's test (with only a handful of lessons through Reg). Highly recommend booking with Reg through Onroad Driving Education!

Toby

Great lesson which showed me exactly what I needed to do in the test. Would’ve failed without it!

Lauren

Had my first lesson with Reg today. He was very understanding, patient and accommodating and made sure his instructions were easy to follow. He instantly put me at ease and made the experience so stress-free and enjoyable. I feel I learned so much in just one class, already looking forward to the next. Would highly recommend Reg! Khalilullah

I had a great learning experience with Georges.

aleisha

Reg helped me become a confident driver (in my decision making and parking skills) and help pass my test on the first try at the Chatswood course.

Daniel

I had a 2 hour session with Reg Lazarus on a Saturday at 1pm. Reg was 30 minutes late and as soon as he arrived didn't apologise for being late. He proceeded to let me into the driver seat and started to eat some crackers whilst trying to teach me some things. I told him I only had 2 hours of past driving experience so I thought he would be patient and slowly teach me new things. However, I was struggling with 1 of the 3 parking methods he was teaching me and would get frustrated with me saying comments like, "it's not that hard" and "how hard is it?". The expectation for me to master reverse parking with no mistakes after demonstrating it once to me I found to be very unhelpful.
