Before I met Reg I had had 3 failed attempts at Chatswood Service Centre. I'm 27 yo who came from an Eastern European country and shifting to a different side of the road and position of the steering wheel was very hard for me. I was only available for driving lessons early in the morning and Reg was also available so I chose him. One of the smartest decisions in my life :) The result - I got my driving license in Chatswood. I’m so proud of myself and big thank you to Reg!

I highly recommend Reg from On Road as I have had over 10 lessons with him which have taught me important road rules, maneuvers, and tips to be a better and safe driver. He had assisted me in preparation for my p’s test where we went over the multiple test routes for 2 days which allowed me to pass on my first try. As a mature age driver (43) who’s had their Learners for decades but never had enough practice to pass the test, it was great to find Reg Lazarus. I have had a few other instructors over the years but those experiences weren’t the best. After my first lesson with Reg, he made an assessment of my ability and proposed 5 x 2 hour lessons with a clear plan toward getting my P’s. What was great about Reg’s plan is that he wasn’t just focussed on passing the test, but rather he made sure the lessons would cover a full range of skills required and driving conditions all around Sydney. Being so inexperienced, this was invaluable and aside from passing my test first attempt, gave me more confidence in any future driving I would inevitably end up doing. I will also Reg is a great guy, very friendly and easygoing, but always attentive and focused on the task at hand. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough, thanks Reg, you’re a LEDGE!! Best, Kate

I am writing this review in the hope that other mature age students who may have failed their driving test 5+ times like me have the fortitude to keep trying. I came to Reg after the last failure and 4 other instructors in the hope that he may be able to assist me after having 70 hours of training. Reg stated to me that my training was like a jigsaw puzzle that hadn't been put properly and hadn't gelled or joined together. Reg set about giving a nervous learner confidence and teaching me how to read the traffic and body language of cars and make safe decisions. He taught me to be decisive, assertive (not aggressive), stop hesitating and be incisive. Needless to say I passed on my last attempt. Thank you Reg for your patience and understanding!

I had a 2 hour session with Reg Lazarus on a Saturday at 1pm. Reg was 30 minutes late and as soon as he arrived didn't apologise for being late. He proceeded to let me into the driver seat and started to eat some crackers whilst trying to teach me some things. I told him I only had 2 hours of past driving experience so I thought he would be patient and slowly teach me new things. However, I was struggling with 1 of the 3 parking methods he was teaching me and would get frustrated with me saying comments like, "it's not that hard" and "how hard is it?". The expectation for me to master reverse parking with no mistakes after demonstrating it once to me I found to be very unhelpful.
