The Beer Goggle Challenge is an engaging and educational activity designed to simulate the effects of alcohol impairment on driving abilities. Participants will wear specially designed "beer goggles" that mimic the visual distortions caused by alcohol consumption, allowing them to experience firsthand the dangers of drink driving in a controlled and safe environment.

The primary objective of the Beer Goggle Challenge is to raise awareness about the risks of drink driving and to promote responsible behavior. By simulating the impairments caused by alcohol, the activity aims to educate participants on the importance of sober driving and the potentially life-threatening consequences of driving under the influence.

Participants will receive an introduction to the activity, including a discussion on the effects of alcohol on the body and the dangers of drink driving. A brief explanation of the beer goggles and how they simulate alcohol impairment will be provided. Participants will be fitted with beer goggles that replicate the visual impairment caused by different levels of blood alcohol concentration (BAC). The goggles distort vision, causing blurred vision, altered depth perception, and double vision.

Participants will attempt to walk on a mat whilst they complete a series of tasks that mimic driving actions, such as walking along a straight line, navigating around obstacles, and performing simple coordination exercises. The tasks will be designed to highlight the difficulty and danger of performing these actions while visually impaired. After completing the tasks, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their experiences and discuss the challenges they faced while wearing the beer goggles. Facilitators will lead a discussion on the importance of not driving under the influence of alcohol and the real-life consequences of impaired driving.

By participating in the Beer Goggle Challenge, individuals will gain a deeper understanding of the severe effects of alcohol on driving and the critical importance of making responsible choices to prevent drink driving.
