Learning to drive with Marta Pedroso from Onroad was the best choice I could have made! Marta is incredible at what she does, and it really shows. Not only was I able to practice driving at different times of day with varying levels of traffic and weather conditions (e.g., school hours, rush hour, night driving, country roads, flooding roads in thunderstorms!) but Marta also did several practice tests with me to completely simulate test conditions. She gave me fantastic, tailored feedback (e.g., reliable markers to guide me with spacing + positioning the wheel), was incredibly patient with me (even when I was frustrated with / hard on myself!), and allowed for extra practice on manoeuvres that I found particularly challenging. When it came time for the test, not only did she ensure that I was confident with the intricacies of the car I'd be driving, but she also made time for working through any nerves/anxiety before, dealing with any disappointment afterwards, and was overall an incredibly kind and empathetic support system to have. After our last lesson, Marta also gave me excellent advice about how to go about purchasing a car (pricing, models, brands, maintenance). It truly made all the difference, learning to drive with someone as experienced as Marta - she is an amazing instructor and friend! <3

As someone who deals with anxiety on a regular basis, I get scared about a lot of things, but I've never once felt anxious driving with Marta Pedroso. She was always incredibly patient and kind with me, never once reprimanded me for failing to achieve something (even if it was something we'd been working on for a while), and in fact, managed to make situations that would have been stressful/intense quite funny and teachable experiences. I'm quite a sensory person too, and so have difficulty concentrating when there's lots of noise - but Marta was able to introduce conversations and music into our lessons over time so that I'd get accustomed to accommodating passengers when I started driving on my own. As I'm not native to Sydney, and so couldn't really learn to drive through help from friends and parents, Marta's extensive knowledge was extremely reassuring. She taught me so much - not just about the road rules, but also about how cars worked, what to consider when thinking about investing in a car, and how to be good passenger and pedestrian in addition to a good driver. Booking lessons with her was super easy, and pick ups and drop offs were also extremely convenient. Plus, Marta always made sure to vary my lessons so I got to drive around different areas, at varying speeds, in all sorts of traffic/weather conditions, and at different times of the day - but always introducing new factors at a pace that matched my learning speed. I knew I wanted a female driving instructor before I ever started lessons, but I'm genuinely so glad I got to learn from Marta. She's really changed my perceptions on driving, and helped me become both a safe and confident driver :)

I'm leaving my 5 stars purely for Marta Pedroso. If you are looking for a female driving instructor in Sydney, I strongly urge you to choose Marta. There is no one better. I wish I could thank Marta a million times over. Not only did she help me pass my Ps test first go, she helped me gain a lot of self-confidence. I was late getting my learner license and very anxious in the beginning, but Marta was patient with me the whole way through and helped me overcome it. Most importantly, Marta taught me to be a safer driver. I foolishly tried a different OnRoad instructor for one or two lessons, and I was able to recognise that what this person was teaching me was actually unsafe and incorrect. I wish more instructors were like Marta - Australian roads would be far safer for all of us. Some OnRoad instructors will eat in the car and play on their phone while they're supposed to be teaching you, others will take you out onto a busy road before even teaching you the basics of steering. Marta, on the other hand, is patient, kind and always professional. Road safety and teaching you to be the safest possible driver is always her top priority. Marta explains things clearly and builds up your basic skills and confidence before taking you out onto busier roads. Marta will run you through manoeuvres as many times as you need to get them right, and she will teach you the safest ways to do them. Marta never messed me around with bookings, never cancelled on me unexpectedly and was never late to a lesson - in fact she was often early. Marta always makes you feel at ease when you're behind the wheel. Her car is top of the range, always clean and a pleasure to drive. After passing my NSW Driver Knowledge Test, I took 6 classes with Marta over a period of 2 weeks to ensure I understood the Australian driving rules in a practical setting, improve on my driving skills and prepare for the practical test to convert my license into a NSW class "C" license. I found Marta to be a very professional driving instructor and classes with her have helped me become a better and more confident driver.

Marta helped me hone my driving skills, explained all the important rules and and also took the effort to explain why those rules exist which I think is very important to help drivers better understand them. She helped put me at ease during the lessons and got me to drive on various types of routes that are typically tested during the practical test. She also did a short debrief at the end of classes to ensure I know the areas to practice on.

I am currently taking lessons with Marta Pedroso and would highly recommend her as an instructor to anyone from a complete beginner to someone with experience who would like to refine their driving skills. She is highly professional, has an individualized approach and effectively uses the lesson time.
I am a late learner (almost 30) and had a lot of anxiety about driving which was almost paralyzing at the beginning. With Marta’s supportive and encouraging teaching I have greatly improved and continue to learn. She is not only knowledgeable about all the aspects of driving and road safety but is also very understanding of issues, such as stress and anxiety, that many learner drivers face.
With Marta, I believe I can become a competent and careful driver.

It took me until I turned 26 to learn how to drive. I had made several attempts to start learning before, but I didn't feel comfortable and confident enough to follow through and commit until I started taking lessons with Marta. She is always prompt and organised, and she integrates teaching in with good conversations. I am always astounded at how much energy Marta has, and her support has meant a lot to me this year. I got my Ps in November of 2020, finally! I will miss my lessons with her but am glad I will always have Marta's voice in my head keeping me safe :-)

After trying out a number of driving instructors from various companies and within Onroad Driving School, I found Marta. I can honestly say from my first lesson with Marta, I learned more than with anyone else. Marta is extremely thorough, patient, and professional. Instructor conducted preparations for a lot of situations that may arise, such as hazards, safety, parking and control of car to drive confidently. I appreciate the recommendation for test area and becoming familar with the roads. Some driving lessons focused on improving the student's weak points and completely fixing them.
