Jamal

Hi, I'm Jamal and I have been a driving educator for over 8 years within the Driving education industry. Prior to becoming a driving educator, I was with the Australian Federal Government for 20 years within Flying operation and Airworthiness. I am a people focussed, adaptable and determined, with a strong desire to learn and help others.

I am an accredited Driving Instructor skilled in managing complex customer interactions to bring about the best learning solutions that meet the Transport for New South Wales requirements for driving licence with safe driving. 

I took part in a Driver Ready Program project with Curtin University/ Western Sydney University to assist with Autism Spectrum Disorder for 7 months. Educating students with Autism disorder was challenging and rewarding. I have knowledge in understanding people's emotions in observing their anxiety and their fear of driving and with the encouragement, teach them when it is safe to drive.

I am highly passionate about learner drivers attaining their driver's licence. I also have a strong understanding of what is required from the learner in order to transition into a provisional driver.

I am trained by Rehab On Road for Driver Assessment and Rehabilitation in the following areas: 

Physical, vision and cognitive defects and implications for driving, mental illness, anxiety and ageing and implications for driving; vehicle modifications for disabilities; on-road assessment, teaching methods and remediation for specific modifications, disabilities and medical conditions; vehicle ergonomics, licensing policies and procedures; medico-legal and ethical issues.
