Sapna Shah nominated for Biz Award - 2009

Sapna Shah's Onroad Driving School is the State Finalist for the Australian Small Business Champion Award 2009. Sapna's driving school operates in the suburbs of eastern Sydney, Hills district and inner edged with Sapna heading the firm. Since she is assisted by her husband, Ronak Shah.

The Australian Small Business Champions Award is the only national comprehensive awards program of its type to acknowledge and support the hard work and achievements of small business across Australia while providing state and national recognition.

On being nominated for the award, Sapna said, "It is a feeling of great pride and a huge sense of achievement. Of course, my gratitude goes to everyone who has supported me through out this incredible journey, is specially to our students, my husband and all family members."

Sapna started her driving school last year. She says, "We are from a business community and hence are thinking for a long time to have our own business which helps the community, is sustainable in any economic climate and yet something different. Driving is my passion and that too more so while imparting the skill to others. I then landed up in establishing a Driving School in 2008 and have since earned a reasonably good reputation in the business."
