Q: Can I fail the course?

No, you cannot fail the Safer Drivers Course as long as you actively participate in the program.

Q: How does the 20 hours credit work?

After completion of the Safer Drivers Course, all participants will be credited with an additional 20 hours in their logbooks. This will be finalised at the end of Module 2.

Q: What do I need to bring?

Please bring your logbook, driver’s licence and a pen along to both Module 1 and Module 2 of the Safer Drivers Course.

Q: Do I complete Module 2 on my own?

No, you must pair up with somebody to complete Module 2. We recommend completing the Safer Drivers Course with a friend or family member so you can pair up with them for Module 2 however if this isn’t possible then we will organise someone for you to pair up with.

Q: How does Module 2 work?

Module 2 is a 2-hour practical out on the road with one of our driving instructors. If you would like to contact the office once you have booked a course, we can organise for you to complete Module 2 straight after Module 1 from the same location, otherwise we will organise a time and location for Module 2 at Module 1. Onroad Driving School  has over 20 driving instructors in various Sydney suburbs so we are able to offer Module 2 as conveniently as possible to you.

Q: What is Module 1?

Module 1 is a 3-hour workshop led by an experienced facilitator in an adult learning environment, with a maximum of 12 participants. All Facilitators are accredited by Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) and have Working with Children Certificate. Onroad Driving School  utilizes privately hired halls and community centers to conduct Module 1.

Q: What are the eligibility criteria of Safer Drivers Course?

The Safer Drivers Course is for Learner Drivers from NSW under the age of 25. You must also have completed at least 50 driving hours in logbooks (Note: Doesn’t include additional hours credited from professional instruction)

Q: Where do you run Module 1 of the Safer Drivers Course?

Onroad Driving School delivers the Safer Drivers Course at numerous locations throughout Sydney on a weekly basis. We cover areas from the Northern Beaches to the Shire all the way out west to Penrith, so there is sure to be a course coming up soon close to you!

Q: What is the Logbook System for Safer Drivers Course?

After completion of both the modules, you will get 20 hours credit in your logbook. Your in-car coach will finalise this at the end of Module 2.

Q: How much does this course cost?

The Safer Drivers Course costs $140 per person. This price is set by the RMS and is the same price no matter where or who you complete the course with.

Q: About Module 1 and Module 2 in Safer Drivers Course.

Module 1 is in-class 3 hours discussion about safe and defensive driving techniques. And module 2 includes in-car practice session of safe driving techniques for 2 hrs. You must register for both the courses. Module 2 must be completed within one month of completing Module 1. Visit our Safer Drivers Course page to book your course.

Q: Can I cancel or reschedule a course?

Yes, you can cancel or reschedule a course as long as you contact us at least 2 business days prior to Module 1. Please ensure you contact us within this time frame to avoid cancellation fees.
