colin is such an amazing teacher, i had struggled with self confidence and colin had never made me feel like i wasn’t capable. he explained things in ways that were easy for me to understand and was able to pull me up on the things i was not doing correctly. there was never a dull moment with colin, he’s a great guy to talk to and a great instructor to have :)

A gentleman instructor!
Colin was calm and patient with my 17 year old daughter who had previously had an unpleasant lesson with a female instructor.
He provided regular feedback and, in addition, provided me with updates on how she was going.
Colin accommodated last minute changes to lessons with kindness and ease.
Colin’s method of teaching accommodates all learning styles. His instruction was clear, informative and calm and I would thoroughly recommend using Colin to instruct you or your child.

Whilst we did most of our driving hours in an automatic we then bought a manual car.

Colin instructed me from the first day of my manual lesson and was very patient and calm whilst learning how to drive a manual.

Colin takes the time to explain certain techniques and shows he cares about the student.

Highly recommended for anyone starting to drive or fine tuning their skills.

Colin is very calm and has a very funny sense of humor I would always feel very comfortable at every driving lesson .I only had ten lessons of manual with Colin and passed first try. Colin is also very honest and will let you know the mistakes you are doing and correct them in a very kind manner. Colin is the best instructor I have ever had and totally recommend him.

Colin is an outstanding instructor so much that I passed (near perfect) my P1 Provisional driving test in manual on the first go! His knowledge and teaching style is second to none.

In the few lessons we had, I learnt tips that made doing manoeuvres seamless, he taught me situational awareness, tidied up my bad behaviours and most importantly taught me how to drive safely. He’s an old hand who is very experienced yet down to earth and easy to get along with. Don’t hesitate I highly recommend him. Thanks again Colin 10/10!

All I can say is wow ! Colin is such an amazing instructor that made me feel comfortable and extremely confident in myself driving a manual. The first driving lesson I was terrible but after the 5 great lessons I had with Colin it was smooth sailing and I got my red Ps. Even after I had thoughts of me failing he kept of reassuring me and said so many positive things that made me so happy. Not only did he teach me how to properly drive manual but he made it so fun with his funny sense of humour every time I sat in the drivers seat.

I 100% recommend and stand by Colin throughout his career being a driving instructor !

I had 3 lessons with Colin Drake ( two 1 hour lessons and a test package) and he was absolutely amazing! He’s so patient and funny. Very easy to warm up to as I was a nervous wreck on the day of my test and a bit all over the place in a car I’m not used to. But thanks to him for boosting my confidence while driving and giving great tips for test prep. I did another lesson with a different instructor and he was hard to understand and learn from but Colin was so simple and easy. I wouldn’t have been able to get my P’s first go if it wasn’t for him. An all round great driving instructor especially in manual. Thanks heaps Colin! ??
